Gloria Steinem, 81, is an American social commentator and political activist. Steinem was an outspoken columnist with the New York magazine before starting the iconic Ms. magazine in 1971.
In 2005, Steinem co-founded the Women’s Media Center, which aspires “to make women visible and powerful in the media”.
