Emma Thompson and her sister Sophie have revealed that they have a ‘cunning plan’ to put a stop to fracking.
In a video posted on Greenpeace’s YouTube channel, the sisters promise to take ‘direct action’ against government plans to force fracking on communities.
Their idea’s a little mischievous, so it’s all hush-hush for now.
“Now a lot of us in this country are not excited about fracking at all.
“This is my sister Sophie – we are not excited at all. What we’re excited about is renewable energy.”
The Oscar-winner continues: “Yes, we are after all living in one of the windiest countries in Europe.
“And we’re surrounded by oceans, which do provide a lot of power. But David Cameron’s not really interested in that – this is what David Cameron’s doing ‘lalalalala’.
“So around the country a lot of people are trying to stop fracking from occurring. And we wanted to pipe up and support them, so we baked up a plan. Something a bit cheeky.”
Thompson adds: “We are prepared to take peaceful, direct action about what is going on because it is frankly unacceptable – so head to the website – click the link and we’ll see you soon.”
