100 Charities Making the World a Better Place

Salt has £1,250 and a year-long advertising campaign to donate and we’d like you to decide which charities it should go to. Be sure to vote using our website poll! Your vote could make all the difference.

We’ve compiled a list of 100 campaigns (below) which are making a global impact and would like you to vote for up to 10 of your favourites. Whichever charity receives the most votes will win a donation of £1,000 as well as FREE promotion from Salt for a year in our print magazine and through our social media networks. Nine runners-up will win free digital advertising via Twitter for three months. What’s more, everyone who votes will be entered into a random draw with the chance to win a £250 donation from Salt to the charity of his or her choice.

If you think we’ve left any causes out, please feel free to share the details in the comments section – we’re looking for charities that are making a positive impact.

Vote for the charity campaigns of your choice from our list of 100 via the poll on the right (or below on some smartphones).

Help us choose a cause to support and thank you for your support and for helping to make a positive impact!

As we would like to give you all enough time to cast your votes, we have decided to extend the poll to Friday 22 May.

Let’s make a positive impact.

This is such a great idea! Can I recommend The Boys and Girls of America? They do such great things for the youth here in the States.

    • Cortez NaPue

      Yes! Consider them nominated!

  • http://www.joemoran.info Joe Moran

Thank you for doing this! I’d also like to nominate the True Colors Fund, which is working to end homelessness among LGBT youth! http://www.truecolorsfund.org

    • Cortez NaPue

Hi Joe! Yes, please nominate them and encourage others to do the same. The more votes they get the better their chances. Since they’re not on the list, people must use #WeAreSalt on Twitter to nominate the True Colors Fund.

    • Cortez NaPue

Joe, consider them added to the drawing. Take care!!

What a fantastic compilation – I’d like to nominate http://www.salsshoes.com @sals_shoes collecting outgrown kids shoes and finding them new feet. Last year just under 5000 pairs of shoes were collected and distributed in 8 countries including the UK.

    • Cortez NaPue

Thanks again! They’ve been added to the drawing.

  • http://www.loveanimals.org/ LoveAnimals.org
