Here at Salt we love making you look and feel awesome, not just on the outside but on the inside too! Why not try one of these smoothies created out of berries, juices and root vegetables to get your morning off to a flying start. 

Smoothies are a great way of getting all of those important nutrients into your system. Most of all, it’s an excuse to be creative and have fun in the kitchen with your family and friends finally putting your blender to good use.

Simply peel and pour everything into your blender and blend until smooth, then sit back, relax and enjoy!


Banana and oat breakfast smoothie

Why not start your day with this seriously delicious smoothie. The banana, oats and almond milk make it super thick and creamy, while the berries give it a sweet and fruity flavour and an amazing purple colour. You’ll be glowing from the inside out all day!

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 big handful of spinach
  • 2 handfuls of frozen berries
  • 200ml of almond milk
  • 3 tbsp oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 Medjool dates (optional)


Detoxifying green smoothie

Life can sometimes be a little toxic, why not try this Detoxifying green smoothie to get you back on track and feeling great. This smoothie also keeps in the fridge for a day, so feel free to make several rounds at once. It’s super-easy and very healthy. Don’t be put off by the colour!

Ingredients:

  • 2 handfuls of pineapple
  • 1 peeled kiwi
  • 300ml of coconut water
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 pear
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 handful of kale
  • 1/2 tsp of coconut oil
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp of fresh mint

Salt Top Tip: Chopping the fruit and vegetables into small pieces will make the blending easier as well as preserve more nutrients.
